Many other festivals and events are held in Tampa, especially during the winter. Many people love to flock to Tampa to get away from the cold and snow in the northern parts of the country, so Tampa is a great place to be any time of the year. There is the annual Outback Bowl that is held on New Year’s Day at Raymond James Stadium. This is a great place for all those sports fans out there.
In an interesting turn of events, the Florida State Fair is held in the middle of February, instead of the spring and summer months like most other state fairs. This guarantees that there is a large attendance of more than 400,000 people each year. If you are in Tampa in the fall, you can participate in the Guavaween, a Halloween celebration that has a Latin flavor to it, held in an open street atmosphere.
