Visit Miami, Florida

Miami is more than just a great place to sit and relax on the beach. If you are ready to dance and drink, you will love to experience the crazy nightlife of Miami that seems to never sleep. You can also enjoy all of the perks that Miami has to offer, being right on the ocean—glass bottom boat tours, river of grass, and mangrove creeks, just to name a few. Miami is a great place to visit any time of the year, but if you want to get rid of those winter blues, you can come down to Miami during the off season for visitors and tourists so you can really begin to enjoy the true Miami that only locals get to experience every day of their lives.

Miami is located in southeastern Florida and is the county seat of Miami-Dade County. Miami is one of the largest cities in the United States, being home to more than 400,000 people. The total metropolitan area expands to more than 5.5 million residents. Because of the huge growths in population, Miami is undergoing a large boom of construction projects that will give the city nearly 24 skyscrapers that will all rise over 400 feet into the air. Already Miami ranks third in the United States for having the tallest buildings. Miami boasts nine of the ten tallest skyscrapers in the state.

If you want to experience fun while staying safe, don’t worry about breathing the air in Miami. Miami was ranked as America’s Cleanest city in 2008. This referred to all that Miami has to offer, and how it related with the nature surrounding it. It has great air quality, vast green spaces, clean streets, clean drinking water, and very successful city recycling programs. So if you want to visit a great city but do not want to be gulping in smog at every corner, Miami is the perfect city to visit.

Miami is also ranked the third richest city in the country, making it 22nd worldwide. This means that as hard as the city of Miami works, they like to play just as hard. Greater Miami has some of the hottest spots to party and dance in the whole world. You can find a street full of clubs in South Beach that are open all night long. If you love live music, you will want to make your way to the Design District. If you are stuck in downtown Miami, don’t worry. There are plenty of new hot spots popping up, such as the Coconut Grove. This is one of the best places in downtown.

You cannot come to Miami without experiencing some of the best lounges and dance clubs. With the Latin feel of the city, dancing is just as much an art form as it is a fun activity in Miami. You will find plenty of clubs that open the doors to allow warm Miami breezes to cool you down while you are working on the dance floor. If you have the money, you can rent a VIP room and be treated like royalty.

Sometimes you would rather listen to the music than dance to it. Miami has you covered. You can find a variety of music clubs that cater to every style of music that you can imagine. Head downtown for some live jazz and blues. Little Havana will treat you to Afro-Cuban rhythms and the sexy rumba beats will have you paying attention. Many nightclubs also play a selection of Brazilian funk and electro-pop.

Miami during the day is just as much fun to explore as the night time. If you want to spend the day doing more than just lying on the spectacular beaches, you will want to check out some of the natural wonders that Miami has to offer. Take a glass bottom boat tour to see all of the marine life in the ocean. You can also tour mango groves and see the river of grass. There is always something to keep you busy in Miami.
